Ann Arbor Solid Waste Department
Call 994-2807 to arrange collection service; call 971-7400 to arrange drop-off service. Collection of appliances requires a fee paid by check or cash in advance. Collection fees begin at $30.00 Items must be curbside by 7 a.m. the day of pick-up.
Arbor Vacuum and Small Appliance
For repair service only: 1226 Packard Rd., Ann Arbor 761-3677 Hours: Mon.-Fri. 9-6, Sat. 9-5 Accepts the following items for repair only: lamps, vacuums, sewing machines, fans, heaters, humidifiers and other small appliances. No microwaves or electronic stereo equipment.

Domestic Violence Project/Safe House

Ypsilanti Township Compost Center
2600 East Clark Rd., Ypsilanti 482-6681 April - November Hours: Mon. - Fri. 9-5, Sat. 9-4 / December - March Hours: Saturday Only 9-4. Accepts appliances, antifreeze, oil and oil filters, scrap metal, yard waste and refuse (furniture, mattresses, drywall, shingles, landscaping timber, lumber, carpet and stumps>1 ft. in diameter.) Finished compost and woodchips are also available. Please call the compost site for additional information and fee schedule. The compost site does not accept hazardous waste.
