Karen Lovejoy Roe began her first term as Ypsilanti Township Clerk in November, 2008. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve all Ypsilanti Township residents and encourages residents to stop by, call or email her with questions, concerns or suggestions regarding our township. Karen loves Ypsilanti Township and is committed to working hard to continue to build our community as a great place to live, work and play.
Larry Doe was appointed Treasurer of the Ypsilanti Township Board in January, 1999, and elected for the position in November of 2000. He is an active participant with several community organizations such as the YCUA, Chamber of Commerce Policy Committee, Washtenaw 100 Club, Kiwanis Club, Ypsi Pride, Ypsi Area Community Fund, United Way, Gilbert Residence Board and Heritage Festival Board, to name a few. He has been an Ypsilanti Township resident for 64 years. He retired in January 1999 after 37 years of employment at Ford Motor Company. Larry and his wife, Fran, have three children, and are members of the Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti
Jean Hall Currie is an elected Trustee on the Ypsilanti Township Board. Ms Currie serves an Ypsilanti Township Economic Development Commission. Jean has been an Ypsilanti Township resident for 30 years, and retired from the U of M School of Dentistry after 28 years as a certified dental assistant. She is currently a semi-retired realtor. Jean has two sons and three grand children. She is the founder of the Metro Women Civic Council of Ypsilanti and an active member of the Second Baptist Church of Ypsilanti.
Stan Eldridge is beginning his 2nd full four.year term in 2008. He was first appointed as a Trustee to the Charter Township of Ypsilanti Board in 2004 to fill a vacancy, and was then subsequently elected to his first full four-year term in November of 2004. Stan is very honored and thankful that he can continue to serve the residents and the community for another term and is also very appreciative of the support and confidence the people of Ypsilanti Township have shown both in and towards him.
Beginning his first term as a trustee Mike Martin is very appreciative of all the help & support that made it possible for him to serve the residents of Ypsilanti Township, where he and his wife Wendy have lived since 1989.
Darcus (Dee) Sizemore has served as an elected Trustee on the Ypsilanti Township Board since 1992. She currently sits on the Ford Lake Advisory Commission and has worked as a volunteer for organizations such as Meals on Wheels, United Way, Catholic Social Services, March of Dimes, and the Heritage Festival. Dee has lived in Ypsilanti Township for 49 years, and retired in 1992 from Ford Motor Company after working there for 37 years. Dee and her husband, Roland, have two children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Dee attends the Southside Baptist Church.
