An alleged child pornographer was arrested on October 29, 2009 at a manufactured home community on Munger Rd in Ypsilanti Twp. 41-year-old Brian Demarest of the B-24 mobile home park was found in possession of over 1,000 images of child pornography by Dep. Ryan Stuck and Det. Kevin Parviz during execution of a search warrant. Mr. Demarest was arraigned on 8 felony charges of possession & distribution of child pornography and using a computer to commit a crime. He was remanded to the Washtenaw County Jail with a $500,000 cash bond.
The Sheriff's Office is attempting to identify the many children pictured in some of the photographs that appear to have been taken by Mr. Demarest, and are also investigating Mr. Demarest regarding the sexual assault of the unidentified children in the photos.
